What is Expressive Language?
Expressive language is how we get our message across to others using words, symbols, sign language, eye contact and/or body movements. A child with good expressive language is able to use gestures, words, writing and/or sign language to communicate, rather than, pushing, pulling and/or crying. Improving a child’s expressive communication empowers them to have positive relationships. Does my child have an Expressive Language Delay?
